マタイによる福音 7:1-5

　　(その時、イエスは弟子たちに言われた。）

「人を裁くな。あなたがたも裁かれないようにするためである。あなたがたは、自分の裁く裁きで裁かれ、自分の量る秤で量り与えられる。あなたは、兄弟の目にあるおが屑は見えるのに、なぜ自分の目の中の丸太に気づかないのか。兄弟に向かって、『あなたの目からおが屑を取らせてください』と、どうして言えようか。自分の目に丸太があるではないか。偽善者よ、まず自分の目から丸太を取り除け。そうすれば、はっきり見えるようになって、兄弟の目からおが屑を取り除くことができる。」

"Judge not, that you be not judged. 2For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. 3Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, `Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
